The Villager Tavern has poured beer in this Hillsboro Village storefront — a building with roots back to the early 1900s — since 1978. Long before Hillsboro Village became a strip of chains, this was already "where the locals go," and the regulars whose photos paper the walls prove it.

Five steel-tip Winmau dartboards in the back room have made it the unquestioned dart headquarters of Nashville, voted Best Dart Bar in the Nashville Scene Readers' Poll ten years running. It's also women-owned, smoke-free since the pandemic, and still exactly the kind of no-frills neighborhood bar it's always been.
